Account Transfers

Upon opening a new account with Obsidian Moon Creations, you have the option of requesting that we assist you in moving files from your previous hosting provider.

If your previous host provided cPanel, we can attempt to do a direct S2S (Server to Server) account copy. This requires that you give us the IP of that server, along with your username and password. If the transfer times out or does not complete correctly for any reason, we then will attempt to log into your previous hosting account and create site backups for you. After restoration, we will reset your username and password and perform any necessary file or directory permission changes. You may have to change configuration files for php applications you have installed or other miscellaneous edits. We will help you to get everything settled in if needed.

In the event that we are unable to do a direct copy or restore your backups successfully, then you will need to directly download your site contents to your computer and then upload them via FTP to your new account with us.
